ANNOUNCEMENTS

May 6, 2024

Dear Parents,

The children and I want to thank our Mothers/Grandmothers who attended the Primary Mass followed by our “Moments with Mom” celebration that took place last Friday, May 3rd. It was so precious to see how excited they were to practice and finally perform their special Mom’s songs to you. I was so proud of them, and I know you were too! It is so obvious to see how much your child loves you and the Blessed Mother Mary and how important they are within their life! A Mother’s love is never-ending and such a blessing from God!!

The Kindergarten classes will be attending ‘May Crowning’ at 10:30 a.m. in Church this Friday, May 10th. It is always so inspirational to see the reverence displayed especially by the students of each grade level as they watch the Blessed Virgin Mary being honored. Please note that the Kindergarteners do not bring a rosary to church, only the 1st & 8th grade students.

There is an early dismissal day on Friday, May 10th at 12:00 p.m. due to a faculty meeting. The parking lot will close at 11:55 a.m. on this day. Please note that Show and Tell” will not take place this week.

Our Kindergarten Closing Prayer Service will take place on Tuesday, May 21st from 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. at Holy Infant Church. It is important for your child to come to school dressed in their “Sunday Best” for their Kindergarten Prayer Service. Please note that your child does not bring in his/her backpack, water bottle, or a snack on this day as he/she will be leaving immediately after the closing of the Prayer Service as an official First Grader to begin Summer vacation!!  Each student is allowed to have their parents, grandparents, and school siblings attend this special occasion. However, the school siblings will return to their classrooms immediately after the end of the Prayer Service.

If your child has not attended the 'Used Book Sale' yet, it will continue through Friday, May 10th. All books are 25-cents each. The proceeds will be used to buy new books for the School Library. Students may purchase books only before school. He/she can bring it in an envelope labeled with your child's name, amount of money.

The ‘Sisters of Mercy’ are honored to participate in the ‘Children helping Children’ within the Holy Childhood Program. The monetary donations from our Holy Infant School children, who wish to make the love of Jesus known to other children, will provide health/nutrition programs, medications, school fees, and teaching/learning resources for those in great need. The money is collected every two weeks so if you or your child ever has any amount of loose change around your house, it would be appreciated!

God bless you and your family and have a wonderful week.

Mrs. Church
